Whilst we may live in an image conscious society, where looking good is important, this is not always easy to believe and although there are many people that carry this off naturally many others want this to happen immediately. The answer for these people lies in the world of rapid weight loss even though the effectiveness of this is grossly exaggerated.

Fast-track diets are one of these rapid weight loss practices which may not be as inviting as they seem according to research. Rapid weight loss diet programs, as scientific research shows, are only good while they last and rapid weight loss often results ironically, to rapid weight gain.

The truth is that low-cal, low-carb diets do not work in the long term as our bodies cannot work efficiently for long periods of time with this type of limited nutritional diet. To make matters worse, often this rapid weight loss is actually excess water and not excess fat that is being lost.

You see a diet where water loss is the main component can have serious side effects but water is generally replace quite quickly meaning that there wasn’t actually any weight loss after all. One of the latest ideas to hit the rapid weight loss market is the slimming soap which promises the user that if used on all the body during a bath then the soap will emulsify and shed the body fat; it is also claimed to be completely natural and only contains a mixture of herbs and seaweed. So far the only thing this soap has proved is that it improves the skin because no other research has been provided on its effectiveness.

A more recent product to hit the weight loss market place promises much with increased energy and hunger suppression. The magnetic weight loss earring is also meant to eliminate some body pains as well as increase the body’s ability to heal itself.

The reason for this lies in the magnets effect on the body’s own magnetism and magnetic field which makes all these benefits possible. Though press releases say that there are actually studies to back these assertions up, no articles, scientific studies or reviews have been submitted to any medical journals.

The best advice that can be given is that nothing worthwhile ever comes easily and these rapid weight loss methods often don’t deliver the goods long term.
